About Your Instructor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

From playing classical guitar in chamber ensembles to teaching pop songs or jamming in rock, folk and blues styles with local bands, Sara Wazani is a diverse guitarist and encouraging instructor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of her performance highlights include playing for the VSO Day of Music, the Northwest Folklife Festival, and the Underground Wasteland Festival. Some of her teaching highlights include helping her students achieve First Class Honours on their music exams, seeing them become inspired, and facilitating warm group environments where they can make music together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her travels across Europe and the Middle East led her to develop a broad and eclectic east-to-west taste in music. She arrived in Vancouver, Canada, where she received generous scholarships to complete her B.Mus. degree and studied classical guitar performance with Hanh Nguyen at the Vancouver Academy of Music.\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sara is deeply passionate about music because it connects us on a different level than anything else. It can show us ourselves and others and give us an endless sense of discovery.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
